A revision of Haidomyrmex cerberus Dlussky (Hymenoptera: Formicidae: Sphecomyrminae) from mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber

Abstract : The type species of the genus Haidomyrmex Dlussky, 1996 is revised. Haidomyrmex cerberus was originally described based on a partial worker specimen only, which was later re-figured with some erroneous characters. Two worker specimens assignable to this species were recently discovered in the collection of Burmese amber from the Capital Normal University of Beijing. A revised description and comparison with the two other known species of Haidomyrmex are provided, and the diagnoses of the genus and species are emended.
