Uncertainty assessment of porosity and permeability by clustering algorithm and fuzzy arithmetic

Fuzzy arithmetic applied to assess uncertainty of porosity and permeability (porperm).•Two criteria proposed for assessing fuzzy numbers of porperm by cores.•The α > 0.90 is proposed for reporting uncertainty of porperm.•Cluster-based calibration of NPHI resulted in a high precision porosity estimation.•Homogeneity of porosity is studied through generalization ability of estimators.
