Uncertainty assessment of porosity and permeability by clustering algorithm and fuzzy arithmetic

Abstract : Fuzzy arithmetic applied to assess uncertainty of porosity and permeability (porperm).•Two criteria proposed for assessing fuzzy numbers of porperm by cores.•The α > 0.90 is proposed for reporting uncertainty of porperm.•Cluster-based calibration of NPHI resulted in a high precision porosity estimation.•Homogeneity of porosity is studied through generalization ability of estimators.
